Order follows NIRF 2025 for colleges that admit through CAT. FMS Delhi is not ranked by NIRF but is also a top CAT college. IIM calls also weigh sectional scores, academics and the interview. Cutoffs are approximate, last checked October 2026, and are not a promise of admission. The Colleges chapter in the playbook goes further: which colleges fit each percentile, and fees against packages.

Questions, answered

01When is CAT held?

CAT is usually held on the last Sunday of November, in three slots. The IIMs publish the exact date each year on iimcat.ac.in.

02Is 60 days enough for CAT?

Sixty days is tight, so the playbook spends it on the topics that carry the most marks and on mock analysis. If you are starting from zero, you will cover fewer topics in depth. The plan tells you which ones to leave.

03Is there negative marking in CAT?

Yes, on multiple-choice questions: +3 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. TITA (type in the answer) questions carry no negative marking.

04What exactly do I get?

One PDF ebook of 86 to 102 pages, depending on the exam. It has a 60-day plan, chapter playbooks with worked examples, score vs percentile tables, mock sheets and revision sheets.

05How do I get it after paying?

A download button appears right after payment, and we email you the link. The link works for 30 days and for 5 downloads per playbook. The PDF is yours to keep.

06Does it guarantee a percentile?

No. It gives you a plan. Your result depends on how you prepare, your mocks and the paper on the day.

07Can I get a refund?

No. The playbook is a digital PDF that you get the moment you pay, so all sales are final. Please check the sample pages and make sure you pick the right exam before you buy. If you were charged twice, we refund the extra payment. If the PDF doesn't reach you or won't open, contact us and we'll send it again.

How to use 60 days for CAT

CAT gives you 40 minutes each for VARC, DILR and QA, in a fixed order. In the last 60 days, your score moves most when you pick the right topics in each section and learn from every mock.

  1. Days 1–15

Cover the QA chapters that come up most, learn the main DILR set types, and read every day for VARC.

  2. Days 16–45

Switch to timed 40-minute sections and full mocks. After each mock, log every wrong answer and the reason.

  3. Days 46–60

Stop adding topics. Revise from your formula sheets and error log, and rehearse your attack plan for each section.

Want the day-by-day version first? Read the free CAT 60-day plan. The playbook adds the full chapter notes, timetables and trackers.

Where marks are usually lost

  • Guessing on MCQs: a wrong answer costs a mark, a skipped one costs nothing.
  • Staying too long on one DILR set when another set on the screen is easier.
  • Taking mocks without analysing them. The analysis is where the marks come from.
